Efforts to provide adequate communal space for the residents of Hampton extend back over 73 years. There have been 12 attempts to build a community center in the town of Hampton.

October 2023 Public Listening Sessions

Placework reviewed three potential sites and began calculating square footage potential based on the needs of the library and Rec. departments. All of this information was shared with the public on Wednesday October 25th. This meeting marks the beginning of the community-wide conversation we are going to need to make this amazing building a reality.

Following the successful passage of article 21 at the March 2023 Town Meeting the town put the planning project out to bid, awarding the contract to Placework (Portsmouth, NH) in May. As the project progresses updates will be provided here:
